Wild West Gallery

This gallery contains an eclectic mix of my best Wild West photos captured over the past 15 years from the Jackson Hole, WY area.

Hilltop Cowboy

Hilltop Wrangler

Jackson Hole has a long history of cowboys, wranglers, and ranchers. This wrangler ponders Saturday night as he watches over the herd of horses.

Pingree

Pingree

John Pingree is an elder in the Shoshone tribe. I met him at a Mountain Man Rendezvous at Fort Bridger, then met him at his place at Fort Washakie for a great shooting session. This photo appeared as a full page image in Cowboys and Indians Magazine.

Mountain Man

Mountain Man

Trappers and fur traders spent summers and early winters in the Jackon Hole valley during the 1825-1840 beaver trade years. Black Kettle, seen here, lives a lifestytle mostly “off the grid” near Ketchum, ID.

Prairie Warriors

Prairie Warriors

These two stallions were captured in my camera in north central Wyoming. Most of the mature males have a variety of scars, bite marks, and scratches from their many battles. Prairie Warriors was awarded first prize in the Equine division of Cowboys & Indians Magazine’s annual photo contest.
